Hello guys!

So as you know, James quite frequently goes on business trips. When fate is on my side, I get to tag along. Wow, tagging along is great. Like you get all the benefits of a holiday without having to pay full price, and best of all, you get to lie in bed and plan your holiday activities for the day while someone scrambles to get ready for work. Ahhh, the good life.
Me doing some planning in KL.
Me planning my Norwegian gallivant and on my Norwegian gallivant while James slogs on at work.
But most of the time, James' work trips are rather short. He flies off in the night and comes back the next day. And sometimes they happen in the middle of the week, and doesn't intersect with the weekend. I would say that sometimes his work trips come up at the very last minute, but that hasn't seemed to stop me since James' trip to the Philippines.

Anyway! James and I usually spend a lot of time together when he's in town — mostly slumped on the couch shouting instructions at our Google Home. But, you may be wondering what I do to pass time when he is away. AH. Let me show you what I do.

#1 Laundry.

I love doing the laundry. Especially when James isn't here. Like it's fine when he is here. But I have a process. Like when I do the sheets, I like to climb into the quilt cover to make sure that the quilt is in alignment with the cover. James thinks it's hysterical. So these were taken in Nov 2016. So just imagine how long it has been since I've changed the bedsheets in front of James.
And that's just one. I also have special ways of doing the darks and lights. Which is fine. But you know, if James is there I can't wash the clothes he is wearing because he will think I'm insane. So everything will be clean except for James. Which is unacceptable. Unless he is overseas. Then I don't care whether he is wearing dirty clothes, clean clothes, a tiara, or a bikini. Out of sight, out of mind.

#2 Shopping.

When James is away. I love to do shopping. Not for clothes for myself of course. That's rather silly. I shop for things that make his life difficult. Like stormtrooper balloons, mail order photos from amusement rides, and 13 packets of flour.
Most recently however, during one of James' trips to KL, I decided to buy a candle to remind him that I am the light of his life.
I still don't know how it smells because we haven't lit it and I don't understand how a blend of cedarwood, hyacinth, burnt fig and cassis smells like. But I'm hoping for "psycho with a hint of mellow".

#3 Sleep.

So James sleeps on the left side of the bed and I'm supposed to take the right side of the bed. Which is fine. Except most of the time James wakes up to find himself at the edge of the bed while I'm sprawled in the middle. You know, to assert my dominance and so on and so forth.
So on the one time when I was away for work, James told me about what a wonderful time he had sleeping in the middle of the bed. He thought I did the same when he was away. Tsk, how naive. When James is away, I take the rare opportunity to sleep on his side of the bed. I already sleep in the middle of the bed. The only portion of the bed which I can't venture to when he is around, is HIS SIDE. So that's exactly what I do when he's overseas.

#4 Face masks.

I don't put on face masks very often when James is around because, I like to lie down, and if James is watching television, there is a slightly more than 99% chance that I will flop down on top of him to watch television, or paw at him to get him to talk to me. Yes, I can be endearing and annoying at the same time. James says I am akin to a cat in that aspect.

Anyway, although it is possible, it is a bit more challenging to talk when you have a face mask on. The corners of your mouth go crackly, and you just rather not. And that's just for the traditional clay masks which look something like this.
I mean, have you seen the trash I am capable of buying online?! Anyway, here's the mask I recently purchased on Amazon. What do you think?
Oh by the way, it's Neutrogena's Light Therapy Mask. Available on Redmart for $99.90 (originally $119.90), and also on Amazon Prime for $32. I thought, it looked cool and I could afford it. Its like a poor man's VR headset. Yes so anyway, you can see why I choose to use this mask when James is not around, can't you?

#5 Hair removal.

I am extremely vain and now I am in the process of getting rid of all the hair on my arm. I have no idea why hair saw the necessity to grow on my arm, and I believe that all the drag generated by my arm hair is the reason why I swim slower than Michael Phelps.

But the process of removing all the hair on your arm via IPL consists on multiple sessions, each taking up to 1.5 hours. It is a very boring and tedious process, because your arms have to be placed in all sorts of awkward positions including held directly above your face. You can't use your phone because your hands are not placed int very friendly positions. And you can't even sleep because you have to hold the position there for a long time. It's like low level yoga.

Once I dozed off and my hand fell into my face — not such a pleasant feeling. Anyway, it's not something that I enjoy doing very much. But if James isn't around, it's not like I can spend time to justify not going. And it's not like I'm super productive at home. Might as well get my groove on and my hair off.

Okay! So I've come to the end of my list. IF YOU THINK IT IS BORING, sorry la. Me and my husband go drinking on a regular basis, so it's not like I have to drink when he's not around. Before I end, I would like to share this great photo of me, my eyebrow, and a great serving of watermelon soju.
And this great song as well of course.

Here's to the long weekend!
