Hello guys!

It's FRIDAY! And let me start off the weekend by blogging about something that everyone loves - ALCOHOL. Or more specifically, Guinness.

Greatness in a Glass - which I'm sure that most of you are used to because Guinness is typically served in a pint glass as a tap beer. But all this is about to change! Why?
Yes, Guinness has just launched the new Guinness Draught in a Bottle (GDIB) for the Singapore market, making it the third market globally to experience this good repackaged Guinness in a bottle, after North America and South Korea (This means that we are ahead of everyone else in Europe, Africa, South America, Australia, and Antarctica. And also South-East Asia).

This means we no longer have to sit at tables, with our hearts pounding as we carefully balance or pints of Guinness during their journey from the table to our mouths. Say goodbye to scenes like this.
And hello to more scenes like this!
As every party go-er should know, drinks are harder to spill in bottles than in glasses. So drinks in bottles > drinks in glasses. So it's really very good that Guinness will now be served in a bottle. More portable. You can walk around and be sociable, with less fear of spilling your drink all down your front. (But then again, it might be harder for you to accidentally spill your drink on that bitch you hate. Hmmmmm.)

Anyway, I attended the launch of the GDIB with Nessie, Jason and Avril. It was awesome. It was raining but that was just about the only downside to the launch party. There was good food and also free flow of Guinness.
The highlight of the launch party was the setting of a Guinness World Records title for the “Longest Bar Slide”. You don't know what's a bar slide right? Let me show you a video of what a bar slide is.

Yes, so a bar slide is what you do when you slide a drink down a counter top. And Guinness had specially constructed a 15 metre beer slide for five Guinness Facebook fans to attempt to set the world record for the “Longest Bar Slide”. Check out the pictures below!

The five Guinness fans who were picked to attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Bar Slide together with Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Stenning
(Adjudicator: someone who presides, judges and arbitrates during a formal dispute).
Here's Jeffrey Ng sliding his GDIB down the bar slide.
Here's the good adjudicator (new word, must use more) inspecting the record.
So it was a really cool event which I was really happy to attend. Pity about the rain but the turn out was still great, the food was great, and so was the company.
Anyway, please check out the Guinness Facebook page over here. They post a lot of alcoholic quotes which many of us can relate to. AND, I'm going to use one of these alcoholic quotes to end my post.
