hello.

so as many of you know,
i am OLD.
i am 23 and ageing.
ageing every second of every day of every week.
it's a continuous process and I AM SO SAD THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME.

but more about that later.

so i attended the CLEO Singapore's Most Eligible Bachelors 2012 party at ZOUK.
went with ma.
also for those of you who don't know,
ma is short for marilyn, a very good friend of mine.
i did not go to zouk with my mother.

so here are some pictures of the bachelors.
stripping.

SHIRTS OFF.

okay quite impressive but nothing compared to the great flo rida.

right?!

also this is the guy who won.
and that is hossan leong who can dance very well.

AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW A BRA GOT UP THERE ABOVE THE STAGE.
BUT GOOD JOB OKAY.
I HOPE THE GIRL WHO THREW HER BRA THAT HAD AN EXTRA BRA TO CLUB IN.

okay and that was what the party was mainly about.
(okay la it was more fun than i made it sound but i want to start ranting about my old age).

so ma and i went to this cleo party with her friend.
her friend is in his last year of poly.
but he looks like he's 21 - 22.
so he invited us to join him for some drinks with his friends on the bridge.
HOW CAN I SAY NO RIGHT?
I LOVE THE BRIDGE.
so many happy memories i have of the bridge.

aiyah pls i miss this serene.

okay so anyway!
ma's friend said that we'd meet his friends at holiday inn and we'd choose some drinks to bring over to the beloved bridge.
his friends were "all around our age".

i tell you.
HE LIED OKAY.
we met this group of BOYS.
like BOYS.
like you could tell with one look,
that they were BOYS.

you know how we like to condemn NS boys in clubs?
it was very apparent that these BOYS haD not even been through NS.
like BOYS.
really.
BOYS.
i cannot stress this word more.

also they were deciding what liquor to buy.
okay.
let's pretend that i am a broke poly student working at gongcha with no money to buy grey goose/johnny walker/chivas/martell/what have you.
I AM VERY SURE,
i would choose ABSOLUT.
($47 and 10 people. i think i can afford $4.70)
maybe bombay sapphire.
(it's cheaper than absolut right?)
but no okay.
you know what they decided to order?

HELLO THE BOTTLE HAS A BIRD ON IT.
AND THE BIRD IS NOT FLYING.
(i must put this qualifier because of grey goose)
ISN'T THIS REASON ENOUGH NOT TO BUY IT.

i drank this once.
i won a bottle at the last WKWSCI D&D that i went for in year 4.
seriously,
NO.

unless i am broke and living under a bridge and happen to have a free bottle right beside me.

so yes.
THESE SMALL LITTLE BOYS.
yes.

that was when i decided i am too old to just go clubbing.
with whoever.
and whenever.
like how i used to.
i must now be selective of the company i club with.

also nessie and i decided that we have passed our prime.
this is us some time back.

we were YOUNG,SPONTANEOUS, AWESOME AND FREE.
(and broke but that was okay. we always managed to get by.)

this is us last october.
LOOK.

WE ARE JUST STANDING THERE AND SMILING.
AND WE LOOK OLDER.
THIS IS WHAT WORK DOES TO YOU.

and can you note,
THE LACK OF TIPSINESS AND THE EXCESS OF SOBRIETY IN OUR EXPRESSIONS THAT WAS ABSENT IN OUR DAYS OF YOUTH?

okay i am going to go and reflect on my age and perhaps i will die in my sleep at the ripe old age of 23.

goodnight my friends.
♥ jac.
